1. Enrolment
Enrolments roll over automatically from Term 1 through Term 4.

If you wish to withdraw from classes, written notice must be provided via email before the start of the new term. Failure to notify the studio will result in fees remaining payable.

A $15 annual enrolment fee applies per student and is added to the first invoice of the year.

Dance QT reserves the right to refuse or cancel enrolment at its discretion.

2. Fees & Payments
All term fees must be paid in full prior to the first class of each term to secure a student’s place.

Invoices are issued via email prior to the start of each term. Bank account details are provided on the invoice. Please include the invoice number and student name when making payment.

Term fees are fixed and do not vary based on the number of weeks in a term.

A 10% late fee will automatically apply from Week 3 if payment has not been received.
If fees remain unpaid by Week 5, the student may not attend further classes until payment is made in full.

Dance QT reserves the right to recover unpaid fees.

3. Refunds & Credits
Refunds are not provided for missed classes.

Refunds will only be considered if a student is unable to attend more than half of a term due to a medical condition and a valid medical certificate is provided.

Class credits will only be issued if Dance QT cancels a class and a make-up session is not offered.

4. Attendance
Regular attendance is important for student progress and performance preparation.

Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared for class.

Parents must notify the studio of absences via email or text.

5. Pick Up & Drop Off
Dance QT is responsible for students only during their scheduled class time.

Parents and caregivers are responsible for supervision before and after class. Students must be collected promptly at the end of their class.

6. Health & Safety
Dance QT takes all reasonable care to provide a safe learning environment, including structured warm-ups and correct technique.

However, dance is a physical activity and injuries can occur. Participation in classes is at your own risk.

Dance QT is not liable for injuries sustained during classes, performances or while on the premises.

Parents must inform the studio in writing of any medical conditions, injuries or additional needs that may affect participation.

7. Behaviour & Code of Conduct
Dance QT is a welcoming and inclusive studio.

Students are expected to:
• Treat teachers and fellow dancers with respect
• Follow instructions
• Maintain positive behaviour in class

Parents and caregivers must treat staff and other families respectfully. Concerns must be raised privately with the studio.

Bullying, disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in suspension or cancellation of enrolment.

8. Dress Code
Students must attend classes in appropriate dancewear as outlined in the studio Dress Code policy.

Dance QT reserves the right to refuse participation if students are not dressed appropriately for safety reasons.

9. Performances & Costumes
Participation in performances may require costume hire or additional fees, which will be communicated in advance.

End-of-year costume hire ranges depending on class and style.

Performance participation is encouraged but may be optional depending on the event.

10. Examinations
Dance examinations are optional. Families may choose whether to enrol their child.

Exam fees must be paid by the specified due date.

Dance QT uniform is required for examinations.

11. Photography & Media
Dance QT may take photos or videos during classes and performances for promotional purposes, including social media and website use.

If you do not wish your child to appear in promotional material, written notice must be provided.

Parents may only photograph or record their own child and must respect the privacy of others.

12. Lost Property
Dance QT is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.

All belongings should be clearly named.

13. Class Placement
Dance QT reserves the right to adjust a student’s class placement if it better suits their age, ability or development.

14. Venue Use
Classes are held at Te Atamira. All students and families must comply with venue rules and policies while on site.

 

15. Agreement

When you enroll at Dance QT you are agreeing to the terms and conditions. 

16. Changes to Terms
Dance QT reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on the website.
